On 8 October I went out to photograph Barcelona with Gianni Prest<\/strong>, an Italian photographer who came along with his wife. There was a lovely atmosphere from the very first moment, and he enjoyed it enormously: we followed a route from sunset into the night, from Torre Gl\u00f2ries to the Sagrada Fam\u00edlia by way of Montju\u00efc.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n

We made three stops, from the late-afternoon light to full night.<\/p>\n\n

1<\/span>Torre Gl\u00f2ries at sunset<\/span><\/h3>\n

We started in daylight, with the sunset glow, at Torre Gl\u00f2ries, formerly Torre Agbar. It is the Jean Nouvel building that opened in 2005: it is 144 metres tall and its fa\u00e7ade changes with the light in the sky.<\/p>\n\n

2<\/span>Montju\u00efc, after dark<\/span><\/h3>\n

Then we headed to Montju\u00efc, where Gianni had a fantastic time. There you have the Palau Nacional, home of the MNAC, and Carles Bu\u00efgas’s Magic Fountain, both built for the 1929 International Exhibition.<\/p>\n\"Montju\u00efc\n

And between them stand Puig i Cadafalch’s Four Columns: built in 1919, torn down in 1928 and rebuilt in 2010. With the Magic Fountain changing colour behind them, every shot comes out different.<\/p>\n\n

And to finish, the Sagrada Fam\u00edlia, Gaud\u00ed’s great masterpiece, lit up at night.<\/p>\n\n

How I work on a private tour:<\/strong> the photos in this post are mine. During the tour I teach both the settings and the composition right at each shooting spot, and clients go home with the photos they have taken themselves following my guidance.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

After the tour I edit a video with the best photos and send it on WhatsApp. That way, as well as their own photos, clients take home a keepsake of the route to share with whoever they like.<\/p>\n\n
